The university is back in session. This is our second time back since the fall session started. The first time we brought one of our daughters' Asian friends for lunch. He enjoyed the lunch treat. The beef stew soup noodle he ordered was large and we had invited him to share the food we had ordered so he had leftover to take home. He discovered that he enjoyed dim sum and the BBQ pork rice paper roll we let him choose. The second time was today. It has only been two weeks, but the girls are tired of eating sandwiches. They needed to get back to their assignments and studying and we knew we could count on the staff of Big Skyy to be efficient in service.

We were seated immediately. They were quite busy today and had a full staff, many of whom we recognized. The girls ordered a huge amount of dim sum, their usual favorites of wonton cold dish, shrimp rice paper roll, egg rice paper roll, steamed shrimp dumplings, steamed pork and shrimp dumplings, stuffed sticky rice in lotus leaf, vegetable wrapped tofu Skin, and pan fried turnip cake. I added 3 dishes to their order of our favorite roasted pork rice plate, chicken with crispy noodles, and the house special of steamed 3 mixed eggs which I found out later from a server were duck, chicken, and the thousand year old egg usually found in the pork congee.

Food came out fast as expected starting with the wonton appetizers and the roasted pork rice plate. Due to the lack of green leafy vegetables on campus, we find that we can't get enough of the baby Bok Choy that comes with this rice plate, which are bite sized and have the snap of fresh vegetables. The roasted pork is always flavorful with the perfect balance of fat and meat. The roasted skin has a nice crunch to it. The noodles were next. My daughter likes the crispy portion. I like the softer portion with the gravy. We all go for the straw mushrooms and leafy greens in this dish and there is an ample amount of sliced chicken. The dim sum was next. Instead of rice, the 2 girls were eating the rice paper rolls. One shrimp dumpling was not enough. The steamed pork and shrimp dumplings were juicy with a lot of meat. If we don't get to the sticky rice at the restaurant, we always take it back to the dorm to steam up and that is what we did. They make for a perfect brunch. The house special of the steamed 3 eggs came out last because it needs 20 minutes. The eggs were so smooth and soft with the yolk pieces giving the dish firmness. It was perfect over the steamed rice and would be a winner with Grandma. Next time, I want it with the minced pork.

We didn't finish all the food at the restaurant though the girls tried, but that's all right they are looking forward to having leftovers for dinner so they don't have to stop studying to go get food.

It was nice seeing all our favorite staff people who always make us feel at home away from home. Until next time!

We were so excited for a new dim sum place nearby but after 2 hours later, we were very disappointed. The food and quality was actually pretty good, but the service and timing of the food being brought out in a timely manner and absolutely ridiculous. We got there shortly after 11, when they opened. They already had some tables seated but it wasn't too busy just yet. We ordered our food and we had the rice, potstickers and BBQ pork brought out in a reasonable amount of time. The rest of our order, which was the bulk of it came out a little over an hour later! It was so disappointing. No one ever checked on us, we asked for some forks and spoons for the kids and they forgot. Had to get up and get it ourselves. They were clearly understaffed, with all of them running around like crazy and even seemed like 2 of the servers (maybe the older gentleman was a manager) were arguing. As we sat there waiting for our food, the restaurant got busier and busier with customers. Unsure if we'll ever go back, maybe if they get more staff or cooks in the back. Still in search of a traditional dim sum place in the IE that has the carts that come around table to table. Overall food was a 3/4. But service and wait for food was a 1/2 at best.

    - Dumplings were good size, quality & taste ( shrimp hargow, pork & shrimp shumai, BBQ pork bun, piggy bun, potstickers)

    - BBQ pork, Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce, beef wide rice noodle we're good.

-Juicy pork buns were disappointing. Small and no juice at all.

Everything we ordered was so good! Customer service was great, definitely gave us good recommendations. Good portions, we got 3 plates between 2 & had some leftovers. A spacious place with plenty of parking

Must try the little pig custard buns! Not only cute but delish!

What an experience!!!! A very good friend invited us to dinner  and we were WOWED by the entire experience. Prepare to Feast on a traditional Cantonese meal.... the portion size is family style and you really get some good quality products served to you. I will definitely be coming back for many other occasions as this place surpassed all my expectations!

Thank you once again to Gary and Eric for a wonderful service! My kiddies enjoyed the lollipops.

Like I said before, whenever we crave dim sum and Chinese food, this is our spot! Will be back again...
